Balnacra Arts by Vicky Stonebridge

Mid-Winter painting finally finished.

This painting was started around Christmas / solstice/New year time.  I was inspired by the night skies and a conversation with a kindred spirit. The wild winds of change were blowing, wild horses tugging and pulling. The storm has raged ever since and massive changes have happened.
I’ve just not had any time to do my own artwork or finish this picture.  Its not far off Mid summer now and that is half a year ago. Its not been a lack of inspiration but a lack of time. Normal i can trace my pictures to times of the year they progress through the season. It is strange to still be working on winter trees, and having missed the spring, what will be the next picture? straight into summer or picking up where i left off ?

Looking forward to finding out, if time and tide will let me!
I’ll scan this in for a sharper image once the paint and ink is dry. It is around A3 mixed media, on thick paper, as ever, for sale.

It was great to meet Yogesh Mahida today, an artist from Gujarat. He's worked with a few mutual friends so it was lovely to meet him myself at last. He threw a cracking big bowl while at the studio, great skills! #masterpotter #artist #ceramics #pottery #wheelthrown #bowl #clay
