Green wood

I went off to Helmsdale for 4 days to learn a bit about greenwood working and charcoal making with Mike Ellis who runs ‘Helmsdale Charcoal and Coppice’. It’s a subject I’d like to do more of when I get the chance, This was a great opportunity to get hands on & learn how to use the various axes and green wood working tools.
