Balnacra Arts & Pottery by Vicky Stonebridge

workshopping like mad.

I’ve been busy organising, tutoring and facilitating classes on behalf of the Kirkton woodlands and Heritage group ( funded by High Life Highland ) . Its ended up all a bit of a mad rush, the funding we got has to be spent in a limited time so trying to cram in all the organising, marketing and running has all got a bit mad. There was a figure drawing class with my friend Ossian as a fabulous model, caught here nodding off!pix 130 pix 127
Then there was a rag weaving class i did at the treehouse, video footage to follow ! We used a peg loom, and basic frames experimenting with different weaves and types of rags.

Then today was a beach combing mosaic class, it was a gorgeous day to first potter about the beach chatting and gathering sea glass, then eat a packed lunch at the tree house and have a lovely relaxing time creating mosaics in good company with birdsong and river besides us. Days like today make the days of un-creative slog, chained to a computer all worth while.
